A contemporary take on ancient myth and tragedy
“Minotaur (The Innocent Monsters)” revisits the classic myth through a fresh, thought-provoking lens. Told from the Minotaur’s perspective, the play explores the creature’s inner world in a blend of existential, psychological, and philosophical reflection.
Is the Minotaur truly a monster — or a victim of human fear, power, and creation? Who defines monstrosity, and can different forms of life coexist within a human-centered world?
This work questions the moral boundaries between man and beast, guilt and innocence, reason and instinct. The Minotaur becomes both a thinker of existence and an antihero of society.
Rooted in ancient Greek tragedy, yet echoing the dilemmas of our times, this theatrical piece challenges our perceptions of the “other” — and ultimately, of ourselves.
