Beatbox and wind instruments performance
The performance consists of ten short compositions that combine wind instruments with the vocal technique of beatbox. Specifically, beatbox is a technique for rhythmic, melodic, and timbral accompaniment that originated from America’s hip-hop culture. Today, it has become a dynamically evolving and autonomous field of artistic expression, which is potentially related to a plethora of different musical idioms. The wind instruments included in the performance are varied and diverse in their sound production. Specifically, they are the flute, dvoyanka (double flute), saxophone (baritone, tenor), didjeridoo (pvc), melodica, as well as the mouth harp, which, although it belongs to idiophones, shares several techniques with wind instruments here. All the pieces in the performance are rendered in real-time and live, without the use of effects or other technical means.
