Preparations have begun for the 12th White Night of Kalamata, which this year will take place on August 29 and the highlight of the evening will be the concert by Panos Mouzourakis at 9pm in the central square

As the Municipality of Kalamata notes, “the “White Night”, which has evolved into a celebration for the city, with offers from stores, with artistic activities and events, with crowds of people flocking to the city of Kalamata, is expected to become a major attraction and high traffic for our city this year.

Once again this year, traffic regulations will be in effect on Saturday, August 29, with a ban on vehicle traffic in the center and the Historical Center, with visitors’ vehicles directed to the large parking lots of the stores at the New Entrance of the city (LIDL, METRO parking), as well as to the northern parking lot of the Central Market (opposite the Open Theater). Visitors will park around the perimeter of the city, and then, with special routes, they will be transported by mini buses of the Urban KTEL of Kalamata, every 15 minutes, to the city center, ending at Nedontos and the historic City Hall.

Stores will also be open until 2:00 a.m., in order to serve the people who are expected to visit the city and do their shopping. The Kalamata Commercial Association has given guidance to its members on offers and big discounts especially for this particular evening.

The International Purebred Dog Morphology Exhibition of the Messinia Kennel Club returns for another year at the established meeting place for the city’s dog lovers.

After several years, the organization of the KOM coincides with the White Night as on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 from 7:00 PM until midnight, at the Traffic Education Park, hundreds of purebred dogs will compete for the best dog show!
